Anger doesn’t belong in your body…

Anger, don’t chuck at it at others and don’t accept it from others; and if it hits you take a moment to regroup and refocus and let it all go. There is no need for an angry person to ruin your day.

And if you are the angry personย ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜ˆย don’t skip around it and avoid it… figure it out, process the emotions, allow the feels to express the story of what you are holding within, thrash it about to get to its roots, do something to feel better and move on. Don’t lash it out at those you love.

(or if you are the angry driver that drove after me for no reason whatsoever yesterday to yell profanities out the window at the roundabout… good for you… I was laughing at your insanity and desire to ruin my day. It’s ok, maybe you had a bad day; and I can be compassionate about this; but I will not allow you to transfer it to me).

Love,
Andrea

Show up being you….

Being a spiritual or as I’d rather say kind, good, and aware person is not about how well you yoga pose or detox or the island retreat week; it’s about how we turn up in every single minute of the day.

It’s about who we are at work, in sport, in the community, in our travels, at home and in our inner moments of thought.

It’s not easy, there is no getting it perfect, we all mess up, but the intention to be kind, good and awake to our surrounding worlds makes us more compassionate people, prepared to go out and give life a shot and lead by example.

Focus, intention and the ability to detach from the nonsense around us while being aware and able to see past dramas are crucial skills that we can hone in many ways from our sports to.our personal and professional lives.

Show up being you…that’s a good start.

My dogs, they teach me a lot about patience!

Heal the relationship with yourself first…

You don’t find self-worth changing your body.

But change your self-worth and you can change your body…into something healthy, vibrant, strong and ‘happy feeling’.

Why? Because suddenly your body and health matters deeply to you; a sacred relationship and journey for a lifetime…

One of the places I reconnect to me, soul, mother nature.

Celebrate the relationships that truly count

People often least appreciate those that teach them the most in life – family. Too often we put the wrong people on pedestals, the outsiders that really haven’t been there for us. We scramble to other people for healing when in truth the answers are always within, nudged to the fore by family and loved ones.

And when i say family count, I don’t mean for the family stuff, no I mean the deep spiritual lessons, the profound journey.

Be grateful for every single lesson because it defines you. Whether it’s struggles or triumphs our family forms us and if we do the inner work; grows us and expands us. These experiences softens our hearts to the human journey.

Value the time of your family and immediate circle.

And more then ever respect what they give in service. Honour this…be it in time returned, gifts repaid or in payment. It’s a circle of energy that deserves respect.

Andrea

5 key self-care steps to health and healing

Hello all,
Here is a short video that I have put together detailing some of what I believe are important steps to self-care; they are crucial for my own well being and for me to continue my work caring for people in my own full health.

In order to be there for others, we must be there for ourselves and to do this we must set time aside to re-balance our energy, re-ground our energy and gift ourselves breathing time to remember what matters most and to keep perspective (and sometimes sanity!).

To give to others, we must first give to self….
To give to others with no expectation, we must come from a place of peace, calm and well-being.

Love,
Andrea

This is my play-ground for recharging.

PS. If you know of anyone suffering from stress and overwhelm please do share this and furthermore, if you have any tips please do share in the comments.

โ€œAs I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is โ€œAUTHENTICITYโ€.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody if I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call it โ€œRESPECTโ€.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it โ€œMATURITYโ€.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call it โ€œSELF-CONFIDENCEโ€.

As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call it โ€œSIMPLICITYโ€.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health โ€“ food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is โ€œLOVE OF ONESELFโ€.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is โ€œMODESTYโ€.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where everything is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it โ€œFULFILLMENTโ€.

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection โ€œWISDOM OF THE HEARTโ€.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born. Today I know โ€œTHAT IS LIFEโ€!โ€

Balance, boundaries and emotional sanity

Do not do what doesn’t sit right with your personal and financial boundaries this Christmas – people are losing all form of balance and perspective and putting themselves under immense pressure.

This comes at a cost to our emotional wellbeing and to our relationships.

Love, connection, time resting and spent making happy memories…. that is what it is all about.

Spend a moment and look at how you shining a positive message can make a difference for others. Give something from your heart this festive season.

Update, what are you hungry for? and Grounding techniques for you to try

Hello everyone,

Here are a few recent video blogs for you to listen to that I urge you to spend some time with if you have been “feeling it” lately.

Also I went on to discuss various grounding techniques that you may find helpful. Not all will resonate; the point is to try things and see what works for us. For me nature, movement and spending time with my dog Trinity all work. I also meditate most days and keep crystals everywhere in my life! This article written previously may also provide ideas to play with:ย https://andrea-cullen.com/2014/11/28/how-to-get-into-your-zen/

I am feeling, my body screams.
My stomach is in knots and my head is flying into space.

My chest feels pressed on;
I cannot think straight.

Everything is buzzing in an energy moving at me,
Waves and waves of energy and information in an invisible thread pulling me into the centre of your universe.
And you don’t even know that I feel you.

I feel your heart and its burden,
Your pain and its fear.
Your beauty and your kindness and your still silent soul waiting to be heard.
Your story invades my body;
and all I want is for you to hear it too.

I feel both hungry, empty, full and nauseous.
So many feeling crammed into a small tiny body.
I feel huge, yet invisible;
I don’t even feel like I am fully here.

And then I slow it all down once more.

Just stop and listen the universe reminds me.
And I do; I embrace all that is surrounding me in guidance and support.
An infinite flow of love, energy, healing and something more that no one can accurately label because it means something different for us all.

The birds sing of strength,
The trees dance with an energy that lifts my heart,
The river flows through my being with life force.
My feet feel the buzz of life underneath me.
All is well; I am strong. As strong as honesty can be.

I have answers, but no one wants to ask.
I love big; yet I am surrounded by an angry world.

People want you to help; but they push you away.
People are tired, but they wont reach out for my energy.

I am here, I will show up…. I will be there…

Sending you lots of love,

Please reach out if you are finding it tough; the answers will come if you create the space,

Love,
Andrea

Thank you for your response. โœจ

You must back yourself

Don’t be complacent in the pursuit of your goals and dreams just because at times it may be inconvenient,
or feel uncomfortable.

The path is not always clear,
not everyone will be in agreement with your beliefs,
sometimes you will feel uncertain about the next steps.

But if the desire is in your heart,
and a sense of purpose infuses your whole being,
then DON’T GIVE UP,
keep moving forwards………

PERSIST

Andrea

Spring Winds

The Spring winds announces themselves
with whispers, groans, and creaks through the tall trees.
Shaking out the last dead leaves of Winter;
making way for rebirth.

Stand outside a moment, in the dark night.
The wind is calling.
Ushering urgent messages into your core,
as quickly as she blasts winter cobwebs away.

Allow yourself to be shaken out,
for the roots always hold firm in the spring.
Allow her bitter cold gusts pierce the very core of your heart,
like jump leads – a call to action.

Spring is here she bellows across the fields.
Her force sees no obstacle too great,
as she urges waves to rise high and topple,
A great power carrying endless potential.

The wind announces her formless self through every thing of form.
Her invisible path leaves a trail of dancing trees.
She is birthed from difference, yet she sees none.
Stand outside in the wind she calls…..

“Stand outside in the wind,
I bring the message of hope.
I carry the promise of sunbeams and longer days,
And I whisper in your ear come out and play“.

“Winter is done.”

Spring

In the midst of bleak grey stormy skies new life announces itself.

Beautiful, inspiring; the perpetual cycle of life.

Life returns to the landscape, the light returns to the skies, the birdsong is vibrant as the new day starts and with it the Irish wake from their hibernation and the weary dredge through winter.

Spring infuses even the heaviest heart if you open your eyes to the rebirth everywhere.

This article by Adam Winson brought my attention to the writings of George Orwell: Spring is here, and they can’t stop you enjoying it

โ€œSpring is here, even in London, and they canโ€™t stop you enjoying it. This is a satisfying reflection. How many a time have I stood watching the toads mating, or a pair of hares having a boxing match in the young corn, and thought of all the important persons who would stop me enjoying this if they could. But luckily they canโ€™t. So long as you are not actually ill, hungry, frightened or immured in a prison or a holiday camp, Spring is still Spring. The atom bombs are piling up in the factories, the police are prowling through the cities, the lies are streaming from the loudspeakers, but the earth is still going round the sun, and neither the dictators nor the bureaucrats, deeply as they disapprove of the process, are able to prevent it.โ€ ย Georgeย Orwell 1946
